En episk rejse, hvor de gæve sømænd stifter bekendtskab med imaginære teltpladser, isbjørnemareridt og en helt ny dyreart. Men i mødet med de nye, ukendte egne af vores verden åbner besætningen, der strækker sig fra kunstnerne Tal R og Daniel Richter til geolog Minik Rosing, op for en række spørgsmål af basal, eksistentiel karakter. Nysgerrighed, storslået patos og et befriende skvæt humor smelter sammen i en film, orkestreret i det ene ikoniske billede efter det andet der forfører os både langt ud over og dybt ind i den historiske parentes, der udgør menneskeheden. Det er stort tænkt og stort udført, som en gammel drengedrøm realiseret i voksent selskab.

Braunschweig International Film Festival /  Germany
